Trading with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Colosseum
Well, you may have noticed that you're not able to trade with Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Colosseum games right away. You can only trade with other Fire Red/Leaf Green players. That is, until you fix Celio's Network Machine on One Island. After you do, you'll be able to trade freely with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games at any Pokémon Center.
You'll first meet Celio trying to repair the machine on One Island the first time you go over to the Sevii Islands. In order for him to fix it completely however, you must do the following:
- Defeat the Elite Four and become Pokémon Champion
- Have your Pokédex upgraded to National Mode (Professor Oak will do this after you become Pokémon Champion).
- Obtain the Ruby from One Island (located on Mt. Ember).
- Obtain the Sapphire from Five Island (located in the Rocket Warehouse).
Once you give the Ruby to Celio, he'll give you the Rainbow Pass to explore the other islands. After getting the Sapphire to him, you'll finally be able to trade freely with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Colosseum games.
