Pokémon Trainer Oath
In many professions worldwide such as a doctor, and a president, they are required to take an oath before they can practice (such as The Hippocratic Oath). Just for fun (as in: this oath is un-official) I've created a Pokémon Trainer's Oath. I hope you like it and agree with it:
Pikachu's Hideaway Pokémon Trainer's Oath
I swear to strive as a Pokémon Trainer using my clear judgment; no matter how challenging any battle, force of nature, or any impending circumstance may be.
I will battle competitively and for recreation only, and not use Pokémon as tools of destruction or as mediums to solve personal feuds. Furthermore, I will not use Pokémon for any sort of financial gain.
When battling I will always use my best judgment and never fight to the death. I will respect the opponent's Pokémon, and must abide by the rules of the battle. Above all, I will never capture another trainer's Pokémon.
I understand that I hold the life of a precious creature in my hands and must take care of him/her/it with whatever he/she/it needs; always treating with care, love, and respect. I will also understand the limits of my Pokémon and allow them to rest and re-cooperate as fit. It will never cross my mind to cause harm or physical infliction of my own purposeful doing to my Pokémon.
I will seek proper medical attention if my Pokémon are injured in battle, or by any natural or accidental phenomena.
I will never use drugs, steroids, and any other means which could give me or my Pokémon an unfair advantage in battle.
I understand that 8 (eight) badges from Gym Leaders a-credited by The Pokémon League are needed in order for me to compete in The Pokémon League.
If do not violate this oath, I will prove myself as a trainer who will strive with great potential. I will enjoy a long-lasting life as a trainer: being close with my Pokémon and any future Pokémon captured.
